Spending My Days
- B. Bryan, M. Bryan, D. Baron, R. Cordial -
I left home at seventeen
I left home I left everything
The sky was high and the stars were bright
I met you on a lonely night
I held your hand and you held mine back
I kissed your lips and you kissed mine back
And it meant everything
Now I’m spending my days
Thinking about you girl
And when I close my eyes
I dream about you girl
Yeah I’m spending my days
Thinking about you girl
You know it’s so hard, so hard, so hard
Without you girl
I woke up with you in my arms
In my heart was a lonely song
I didn’t wanna leave at 3 a.m.
I didn’t wanna leave at 5 a.m.
Same story about 7 a.m.
But I had to go out on my own
That’s when I lost everything
Now I’m spending my days
Thinking about you girl
And when I close my eyes
I dream about you girl
Yeah I’m spending my days
Thinking about you girl
You know it’s so hard, so hard, so hard
Without you girl
I should have stayed by your side
Oh I should never have walked away
Now all that’s on my mind is how I’m spending my days
Now I’m spending my days
Thinking about you girl
And when I close my eyes
I dream about you girl
Yeah I’m spending my days
Thinking about you girl
You know it’s so hard, so hard, so hard
Without you girl

Pitchfork.com reviews “Spending My Days” in ESPN The Magazine
September 14, 2009
In the September 21, 2009 issue of ESPN The Magazine, Pitchfork.com editor Rob Mitchum reviews the single “Spending My Days” off the forthcoming EP Let It Rip by Bryan Bros Band Featuring David Baron.
In the review, Mitchum writes,
“Finally, someone has the guts to write a song about the unbreakable bond between doubles partners–particularly twin brothers who like to celebrate victories with chest bumps. Too bad the Bros’ song ‘Spending My Days’ addresses a nameless ‘girl’ instead of each other. On their website (bobandmike.com), Mike and Bob posted endearing slapdash garage tunes performed with their dad on guitar (plus Andy Roddick rapping ‘Ice Ice Baby’), but this song, from their record with singer-songwriter David Baron, is strictly soft rock for the ladies. Or ladies’ tour.”

Chasing The Sun
- B. Bryan, M. Bryan, D. Baron -
I can’t be where you want me to be
Till this fire burns out I will set out across the sea
I can’t go where you want me to go
I belong here on this journey
And I want you to know
That I won’t let you go
I’m chasing the sun
Here it comes
Chasing the sun
Bound for glory
Chasing the sun
Honey how fast can I run
Till this war is won
In my mind you know I’m chasing the sun
Though I go where few others have gone
I won’t sell my soul to walk this path that I’m on
But here I stand just a shell of a man
Cause I have done my best to keep you
And you just slip away
Is that the price I must pay?
For chasing the sun
Here it comes
Chasing the sun
Bound for glory
Chasing the sun
Honey how fast can I run
Till this war is won
In my mind you know I’m chasing the sun
The leaves they fall in London town
Just like the rain in Barcelona
I left behind me all this peace I found
And I want you to know
That I won’t ever let you go
I’m chasing the sun
Here it comes
Chasing the sun
Bound for glory
Chasing the sun
Honey how fast can I run
Till this war is won
Until I come home back to you
And do all the things you want me to
Honey it’s always on my mind
Rain or shine you know
I’m chasing the sun
